During puberty, your body not only undergoes emotional changes, but physical changes too, which makes you look different (older) to when you were a child. Every person has change in their body sometime during puberty.
Both male and female experience growth of body shape and height, as well as mixed feelings and mood changes. Also, you will experience change of energy and the way that you think. All of this is completely normal for anyone going through puberty. |
Males:
Most boys don't begin puberty until between the ages of 9 and 14. For boys, the physical changes are growth of the penis and testes (testicles), erections with ejaculation, growth of facial and body hair and changes in voice. As a male going through puberty, you can expect: Weight gain, Wider shoulders, Bigger and stronger muscles, your penis gets longer and wider, Testes (or testicles) get larger, Apart from hair starting to grow on your body, it also grows on your face, like a beard, mustache or sideburns, You get erections sometimes because you're nervous or excited and other times when it just happens by itself, You may have 'nocturnal emissions' or wet dreams while you are sleeping, and You may notice that you are getting an 'Adam's apple'. This is your larynx or voice box getting larger and sticking out at the front of your throat.

If your’e a female going through puberty, this is what you can expect: Bodies become curvier and hip bones widen, Weight gain, particularly on the hips, Muscles get bigger and stronger, Breasts start to develop, Menstruation (periods) starts, and You may get some whitish jelly from your vagina before or in between periods.
